A VPI team with 10 wins in the ACC (if they beat Clemson) would be tough to leave out of the NCAAs. Even with that egg they dropped at UNC. It would also give them their third top-four finish (and bye) in four years in the ACC. The wine and cheese crowd in Charlottesville, on the other hand, is looking at its second double-digit seed in the expanded ACC. I’m sure they’re just loving every minute of this in Blacksburg.
