* - We should note that we’ve been to Fairbanks, and to UAF specifically, and they are both lovely if very, very cold. So, prospective coaches, fear not - but pack a parka or twenty.

Seems to me that the UAF job would be perfect for Larry Eustachy. The bars in Fairbanks stay open until 3:30 or 4 in the morning. (I found this out the hard way when I realized that 3:30 or 4 in the morning Alaska time meant I was actually up until 8:30 or so UVA time.)

Completely agree. The only outstanding question - how did you discover “the hard way” that it was 8:30am UVA time? Did you get cold called remotely?
